Ibiza’s peak season, where the island is busiest, prices are highest and temperatures are hottest in July and August. This is a popular time for holidaymakers who want guaranteed sunshine, a jam-packed event calendar and to revel in Ibiza’s party scene. May and June, September and October on the island, whilst still lively, are more popular months for families and those that prefer to holiday at a slower pace, while still enjoying warm waters, sunshine and plenty of entertainment options.

IBIZA TOWN LUXURY VILLAS

Ibiza Town is the island’s historical and commercial center, located on the east coast of Ibiza. Its most striking feature is the UNESCO World Heritage fortress residing over the harbor. This fortress and the town within its walls is known as Dalt Vila, literally translated as High Town. A wander along its cobblestoned alleys and higher ramparts offers an interesting perspective on the town and island.

Coexisting harmoniously alongside the historical sites and traditional elements of Ibiza Town is the modern tourist side of Ibiza, with fashion shopping, seasonal eateries, and thriving summer nightlife.

The port of Ibiza, Marina Botafoch, on the north side of Ibiza Town, is one of the most exclusive ports in the world, lined by fine dining, stylish bars, and designer boutiques catering to the mega-rich and their super-yachts. San Antonio is a busy harbour town located on the west coast of Ibiza, famous for its sunset bars, boat parties and clubs. The town offers a vast array of options for dining, from affordable and cheerful holiday staples such as burgers and chips to more upscale restaurants serving local and Mediterranean dishes. As well as the popular main beach, S’Arenal and the smaller town beaches that make up ‘The Bay,’ San Antonio boasts some excellent ‘day at the beach’ options just a few minutes drive from the town centre, including Cala Bassa, Cala Gracio and Cala Salada. As an alternative way to get to these top beaches, there are often various boats and ferries along the harbour that offer return journeys.

San Jose is Ibiza’s largest municipality, covering much of the south and southwest parts of the island. In its centre, the village of San Jose itself is charming and more of a year-round residential town than a touristic place. The wider municipality of San Jose however is hugely popular thanks to its many beautiful beaches and coves. The surrounding countryside and villages offer an opportunity to discover the rural and artisanal side of Ibiza, including the bohemian village of Santa Gertrudis, the famous Las Dalias Hippy Markets in San Carlos, and the many fruit orchards and farms just a short drive from the pretty coves and laid-back beach bars along it’s coastline.
