Ibiza is an incredible destination all year round, offering a dazzling variety of delights each month. While the winter days remain beautiful and sunny, many clubs, restaurants, and bars close their doors, so the best time to visit Ibiza is between May and October, the typical Ibiza tourist season.

Ibiza weather in May and June

May and June are magical months to visit Ibiza. The island is green and fresh, having just come through spring. The weather during the day is clear, sunny, and warm, reaching highs of 22 – 26°C (71.5 – 27.8°F), while the nights are still slightly cool, so you’ll need to wear a light jacket at night. The water in May is brisk, around 18°C (64.4°F), but people are beginning to swim. By June, the water is becoming more inviting, around 21.5°C (70.7°F). The charm of these months, as well as late September and October, is that the island is peaceful, without the peak season crowds, yet most establishments are open. These shoulder months are perfect for families with young children or those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle to simply relax.

Ibiza weather in July and August

July and August are the hottest months in Ibiza. The sun shines all day, and the parties last all night. During the day, temperatures regularly soar to 29°C (84°F), often heading into the early thirties. In the evening, temperatures don’t fall below 21°C (70°F), so you can get by in T-shirts, flip-flops, and sundresses 24/7. By August, the water temperature is around 25 – 27°C (77 – 80°F), which is heavenly for beach lovers. It rarely rains in July or August in Ibiza, so you are guaranteed loads of sunshine and long days on the beach.

Ibiza weather in September and October

The buzz of peak season continues through September, with temperatures still high, the water still warm, and the parties still in full swing. Daytime temperatures in September are still very warm, reaching 27°C (81°F), and drop no lower than 20°C (68°F) at night. In October, Ibiza starts to slow down, but it’s still a very special time to come. The crowds have gone, and accommodation prices are far less than in peak season, yet most establishments are still open. October in Ibiza sees highs of 23°C (74°F), and in the evening, temperatures fall to a minimum of 16°C (61°F). On average, September and October have eight days of rain, so it’s worthwhile packing some wet weather clothes, just in case.

Is Ibiza Warm in October?

Yes, Ibiza is warm in October. The average daytime temperatures reach 23°C (74°F), and while the evenings are cooler, dropping to around 16°C (61°F), the weather remains pleasant. Although the island begins to slow down with fewer tourists, the sea is still warm, and the majority of establishments remain open, making it a great time for a peaceful getaway.

What’s the Weather Like in the Off Season? (November to March)

Even during the off-season, from November to March, Ibiza offers a different kind of charm. While the temperatures are cooler, the island’s natural beauty remains, and the quieter atmosphere provides a perfect escape for those looking to relax away from the crowds.

Ibiza Weather in November and December

As autumn transitions into winter, Ibiza experiences cooler, more serene weather, with average temperatures ranging between 12°C to 18°C (54°F to 64°F). November and December are characterized by shorter days and the occasional rain shower, creating a quieter and more peaceful atmosphere on the island. While many of the popular tourist attractions and clubs close their doors during this period, this time of year is perfect for those looking to experience Ibiza's natural beauty without the crowds. The island’s landscapes become even more picturesque, offering opportunities for leisurely hikes and scenic drives. December, in particular, brings a festive charm to Ibiza. The island celebrates Christmas with local markets, festive lights, and cultural events, making it a unique time to visit. Ibiza Weather in January, February, and March

January, February, and March are the coldest months in Ibiza, with temperatures typically ranging between 10°C to 16°C (50°F to 60°F). These winter months are quiet, offering a stark contrast to the lively summer season. The cooler temperatures make this period ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the island’s rugged beauty. The almond trees begin to bloom in late January and February, adding a burst of colour to the countryside and creating stunning vistas. While the beaches may not be the main attraction during these months, the island’s rich cultural heritage and natural landscapes provide plenty of reasons to visit. With fewer tourists, you’ll have a more intimate experience of Ibiza, discovering local traditions and enjoying the peaceful, laid-back vibe that dominates the island in the off-season.

Ibiza Weather in April

April marks the beginning of spring in Ibiza, bringing with it milder temperatures and a sense of renewal across the island. Daytime temperatures range between 18°C to 22°C (64°F to 72°F), making it an ideal time for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and exploring Ibiza’s hidden gems. The beaches start to come alive as the waters warm up, offering a peaceful retreat for those looking to relax without the hustle and bustle of the peak season. April is also when Ibiza begins to awaken from its winter slumber. More restaurants, bars, and clubs open their doors, and the island starts to buzz with anticipation for the upcoming summer season. This month is perfect for visitors who want to experience Ibiza's beauty and culture in a more tranquil setting, while still enjoying the convenience of open amenities. At Ibiza Summer Villas, April is a popular month for bookings, as many travellers take advantage of the pleasant weather and serene atmosphere to kickstart their Ibiza adventure.

Staying at the villa was absolutely lovely! The atmosphere was beautiful, and the views were breathtaking. The spacious rooms were beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing evenings and game night with the family (games was also provided in the villa). It was a clean, secure, and comfortable place… our family will recommend this Villa to anyone, special mention to Maria she was absolutely amazing and really helpful… as we struggled with ordering taxis if we messaged her, she always responded fast and helped in the best way possible. Stayed in Villa Mali for 5 nights in June and couldn’t have been happier. Such a beautiful villa, in a perfectly quiet location but walking distance from some cute restaurants and the supermarkets so we didn’t need a car. Getting a taxi was easy via the app and was an easy 20-25 minute drive from San Antonio. The facilities in the villa were fab, there was everything we needed to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. I loved the outside area with pool and dining/cooking space. This is the second time we have used Ibiza Summer Villas, their service is excellent and they really take care of you. I’m sure we will be back in one of their accommod…

Our group of 14 recently spent a week at this incredible villa in Ibiza, and it was perfect for our needs. The villa was spotless and well-maintained, exceeding our expectations in every way. The spacious and comfortable setup made it easy for everyone to enjoy their stay without feeling crowded. The pool area was a standout feature, providing a fantastic spot to relax and soak up the sun for all of us. One small suggestion would be to remind people to pay extra for pool towels like we did. The villa's location was excellent, with reliable taxi services given to us by Ibiza summer villas that made getting around the island effortless thank yo…

We stayed at Can Senyora and it was a really beautiful villa in a lovely remote quiet area. We stayed for 4 nights and have enjoyed every second. Great communication from the agency, who were always on hand if we needed anything. The view from the villa and the pool were the highlights for me.
